I'm excited to be featuring my favorite girl on the blog today! She has two weeks off of school (spring break-sort of) and we are taking advantage; not to the most of it since we aren't going on any big trip or anything, but we are getting a lot of playdates, time at the library scheduled in and we go visit dad at work (so we can play Foosball! :)

I'm always happy to find new monthly link ups, and I heard of this new one, which features the kids that made us mamas, on Crystal's blog "Hall Around Texas." Today is the first edition of "The Kids Behind The Blog" link up. and without further ado here are Avi's responses to this month's questions. 1.) Six days ago, Avi turned six. This is her third birthday we celebrate in Germany and the second time we got to throw her a birthday party with a multicultural set of friends. We had the party at an indoor "playground" we had visited a couple of times before for her friends' parties. when you reserve your table you let them know how many guests you are expecting. On the day of the party you arrive, you pay for the guests and then they tell you which tables are yours. you have to take everything. Pro's and cons to thism you can decorate however you want and you can take whatever food you'd like. Avi's first loose tooth  had been loose for a while, I took a picture of her when it was first loose since I didn't know when it would fall off. and we waited. She was excited, because she had seen in a peppa pig episode that the tooth fairy would bring her a shiny coin.. when she told me about it she said "I can't wait to eat my coin!"  I told her that the coin the tooth fairy would leave is not a chocolate coin, but rather, real money that she could save for our trip to Charlotte, potentially Orlando, in December and she can buy herself a souvenir or something cool. It took a couple of weeks but finally, on November 1st, three days before her sixth birthday, it fell out. Here's how it happened: She had been wiggling it with her tongue, even after we had told her not to. But on Sunday morning as soon as she woke up she wiggled it and the tooth just fell out. She comes running to our bedroom to let us know, and I ask her where all the blood was, sill...

She was really excited, and had been since the Wednesday before. When friday came around I told her she just had to sleep two more times and then it would be time, she was ready to go Sunday morning saying "today is the day." I told her she had one more to go and the next day I woke her up and made her breakfast, the three of us ate together then we got ready and watched TV until it was time to go.  Her first day of Kindergarten only lasted around an hour. We start in the auditorium, they introduce themselves, then the older kids sing for the new students. The new students are called up and introduced to their teachers and then they go to their classroom. While the parents waited in the auditorium.  They do this so that the kids can meet their teacher, see their new classroom and not be overwhelmed. This might be good for some kids, the ones that are going to school for the first time, but Avi wanted to spend the whole day there. She is really liking her...

Last year for my daughters 4th birthday she decided on a Hello Kitty themed party. This was her second birthday to be celebrated in Germany, but at the same time the first time we would celebrate with friends. so I wanted it to have a touch of home, there was going to be kids from different cultures and I figured it'd be col for them to experience a "Mexican" Fiesta.  I started doing a Piñata. but it was coming out too small  so I did not finish it. :/  But I did make my the goodie bags from scratch.  Materials needed: Moosgummi,  Glue,  string or ribbons, a nd candy. I bought some candy here but the rest I had sent from Mexico and USA  Shout out to my brother in law for bringing them to us! [This was meant to be posted on Oct 21st.] I've been waiting two weeks to write about Avi's 3rd birthday party, it is the first one where we got crafty with almost everything.  When she was two she liked watching Pocoyo; her favorite character was Elly the Elephant. She said she wanted an Elly party, so an Elly party we threw.  I love this chick so much! I had scheduled everything for Avi's party at Pablo's aunts pool like the previous two years. I made the invitation using Photoshop for the first time, I think it came out good, you?
