Learning German..
So,
I've been here for 5 months 10 days approx and I still only know very
little German, I know around 100 words but with those I cant make out a
real conversation.. I know how to say stuff but if i get a response I
cant respond back.. :/ so we borrowed some kinder bücher from our landlords so I can read
them with Avi and learn more! :)

The one I was reading yesterday was
“Die kleine Raupe Nimmersatt [the very hungry Caterpillar]” and when I
read it the first time Pablo said he only half understood me.. which
means.. I totally didn't read it correctly :/.. so today, I found a
video of the book in german. I will be listening to it and read along and learn the pronunciation..
so far I think it's going good.. Here it is:

The Very Hungry Caterpillar
Nachts, im Mondschein, lag auf einem Blatt ein kleines Ei.
In the light of the moon a little egg lay on a leaf.
Und als an einem schönen Sonntag Morgen die Sonne aufging, hell und warm, da schlüpfte aus einem Ei- knack- eine kleine hungrige Raupe.
One Sunday morning the warm sun came up and – pop!- out of the egg came a tiny and very hungry caterpillar.
Sie machte sich auf den Weg um Futter zu suchen.
He started to look for some food.
Am Montag fraß sie sich durch einen Apfel, aber satt war sie noch immer nicht.
On Monday he ate through one apple. But he was still hungry.
Am Dienstag fraß sie sich durch zwei Birnen, aber satt war sie noch immer nicht.
On Tuesday he ate through two pears, but he was still hungry.
Am Mittwoch fraß sie sich durch drei Pflaumen, aber satt war sie noch immer nicht.
On Wednesday he ate through three plums, but he was still hungry.
Am Donnerstag fraß sie sich durch vier Erdbeeren, aber satt war sie noch immer nicht.
On Thursday he ate through four strawberries, but he was still hungry.
Am Freitag fraß sie sich durch fünf Apfelsinen, aber satt war sie noch immer nicht.
On Friday he ate through five oranges, but he was still hungry.
Am Sonnanbend fraß sie sich durch ein Stück Schokoladenkuchen, eine Eiswaffel,
On Saturday he ate through one piece of chocolate cake, one ice-cream cone,
eine saure Gurke, eine Scheibe Käse, ein Stück Wurst, einen Lolli,
one pickle, one slice of Swiss cheese, one slice of salami, one lollipop,
ein Stück Früchtebrot, ein Würstchen, ein Törtchen und ein Stück Melone.
one piece of cherry pie, one sausage, one cupcake and one watermelon.<
An diesem Abend hatte się Bauchschmerzen!
That night he had stomachache!
Der nächste Tag war wieder ein Sonntag. Die Raupe fraß sich durch ein grünes Blatt, Es ging ihr nun viel besser.
The next day was Sunday again. The caterpillar ate through one nice green leaf, and after that he felt much better.
Sie war nicht mehr hungrig, sie war richtig satt.
Now he wasn´t hungry any more
Und sie war auch nicht mehr klein,
and he wasn´t a little caterpillar any more,
die war groß und dick geworden.
He was a big, fat caterpillar!
Sie baute sich ein enges Haus, das man Kokon nennt,
He built a smal house, called a cocoon, around himself.
und blieb darin mehr als zwei Wochen lang..
Then he nibbled a hole in the cocoon, pushed his way out and....
...war ein wunderschöner Schmetterling!
...he was a beautiful butterfly!
