Leap Year Questionaire - The Guy Behind The Blog.

Image
I figured I'd post Pablos questions for  February’s The Guy Behind the Blog on Feb 29th, since that's this month's theme and because you know, I forgot to do it on the atcual date this was supposed to go live. This year is Leap Year — what are you going to do to celebrate?  Nothing If you could create an obscure holiday, what would it be and why? None. (thinks about it for a while) a Not go to work day, to not have to go to work on this day. Have you seen the movie Leap Year? If not, tell us about another romantic comedy you have seen.  No, The only one I can actually remember by name is The Ugly Truth. Tradition has it that women are supposed to propose to their men on leap day. Would you (or did you) say yes if your girl popped the question? That ship has sailed.  Editors note: He won't answer a hypothetical question, he sucks, but it's okay, I still love him.  If you had to have a special event take place on leap day, what would it be (ex: wedd

What's Coming Up & Being a Travel Tuesday Co-Host!

Image
I was debating what to write for today's post, should it be about our recent trip to Berlin or one of the posts i'm mentioning in this one? I didn't know, but then I figured that giving a heads up on my upcoming posts was better. I will be co-hosting the #TravelTuesday link up along with Anna, Bonnie & Christy. So for now I will post at least twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays (the occasional sunday/monday with a meal plan might be sneaked in the mix). Thursdays will be random and monthly link ups I regularly do and Tuesdays will be travel related. Next Tuesday's theme will be: A Sporty Adventure.  and the Tuesday after I will be talking more on what we did in Berlin last weekend and then some previous trips we've taken that I haven't blogged about:  Weekending in Berlin - I already talked about spending Valentine's day in Berlin Strolling Around Pisa Kraftwerk Moorburg Day trip to Luxembourg Weekending in Munich - I already talked

Valentine's Day in Germany

Image
Today I'm joining the Circle Linkup with Kiki for a blogger Valentine’s Day. This year, we spent Valentines day in Berlin & Schwerin. Pablo's brother was visiting and we decided to go to Berlin for the weekend, more on that coming later. For now, let's talk Valentines day. we spent it visiting an aquarium, a castle and then eating burgers. It was a pretty good day. We didn't exchange gifts between us, we just said the trip was our gift to each other. If you're wondering how Germans celebrate valentines day, here are three examples to give you an idea: - Germans don't say "Happy Valentines Day" to each other. - The stores decorate with hearts and offer special products to customers. - It is aimed to the adults, kids do not celebrate it at school with a party or by passing out valentine cards. I had a good day and hope you did too, here's a valentine card for you. How'd you spend Valentine's day this year?

Hamburg-Charlotte Haul

Happy Travel Tuesday! We've been back from our trip for a while but I haven't shared many details of it. I'm starting today and sharing what I took from Germany and what I brought back.  It all started a couple of weeks before we left Hamburg, we took time to go searching for things to take to our family members. What do you take someone who has never been here? We asked our friends for pointers, made a list and mainly stuck to it.  What I took from Germany I also took a couple of gifts, mainly white elephant gifts, for our family Christmas party. chocolates and and a some typical of german christmas-season snacks. What I brought Back I made a list and send it to my mother in law. She was nice enough to bring me some stuff from Mexico. and for the past two weeks I've been enjoying being able to cook things that I don't normally cook (here in Germany). Those PiƱata2go, Easter eggs (you can't find the fill-able ones in Germany), a pump
