Spring Break Dreams (Plans & Goals)

Image
I'm co-hosting the circle linkup with kiki this month and am so excited! I've been joining in since April last year, and it's been fun participating in different prompts and now I got to brainstorm one with her--we chose sharing our Spring Break plans, dreams, and goals--with the opportunity to add in any places you'd like to go see or places that you've already booked a ticket to travel to!

Valentine's Day in Germany

Image
Today I'm joining the Circle Linkup with Kiki for a blogger Valentine’s Day. This year, we spent Valentines day in Berlin & Schwerin. Pablo's brother was visiting and we decided to go to Berlin for the weekend, more on that coming later. For now, let's talk Valentines day. we spent it visiting an aquarium, a castle and then eating burgers. It was a pretty good day. We didn't exchange gifts between us, we just said the trip was our gift to each other. If you're wondering how Germans celebrate valentines day, here are three examples to give you an idea: - Germans don't say "Happy Valentines Day" to each other. - The stores decorate with hearts and offer special products to customers. - It is aimed to the adults, kids do not celebrate it at school with a party or by passing out valentine cards. I had a good day and hope you did too, here's a valentine card for you. How'd you spend Valentine's day this year?   ...

Being Thankful

Image
We had a friendsgiving party yesterday, and it was the second time we celebrated with this particular friend. It doubled as a going away party since it's his last few days in Hamburg..Anyways, it was fun, we got to meet some new people and there was a lot of food, I'm talking two turkeys and plenty of sides. I took my (aunts) famous apple, pinapple, and marshmallow dessert , and just like at the birthday party , a lot of people complimented it, if you have never tried this, I suggest you do ASAP! This month's the circle topic is about the act of thanksgiving and are taking it old school sharing acrostic poems using the word THANKFUL to list off things we're thankful for. T - Trips we take Thankful that we get to take so many trips (I guest posted yesterday with my top 5 cities in Europe, go read it!) and that our next one is coming up in less than a month! H - Husband I'm thankful to have Pablo in my life, he is always helping me when I...

There's no Place Like Home (part I)

Image
I'm linking up with kiki from in its time and co-host Beka from Sunshine to the Square Inch  for this month's the circle link up and giving you a little tour of our home. I;ll be sharing different parts of our home today, and the other half next week. I had previously shared pictures of the furniture we bought back in February since we had a tough time choosing the right ones and I wanted to share my opinions on the blog. But after we moved, everything has been rearranged. So here is some of our set up: Child's Room Is also big, it fits her loft bed and slide perfectly with extra room for her to play. Master Bedroom I'm not sure if this room is bigger or smaller than the one in Kaiserslautern, but I like it, we haven't bought an actual wardrobe/closet yet, but we really needed to hang our jackets so we bought a temporary one. Kitchen This is the biggest kitchen we've had in Germany, I really like it,  it's a good size, we could fit this ...

Let me introduce you to..

Image
Diana, currently in search for a job, but this time for real. I would continue to introduce myself but I have already done this more than once on here. The most recent one being 11 things you probably don't know about me , but other posts where you can learn about me are my introduction in the a to z in april challenge, A is for About , and My ABC's of me / ABC's of Travel . I won't be leaving you with just links to other posts, I decided that the best way to add more the the ever growing list of things to learn about me; I will answer 11 questions (for a liebster award I received from Emily  a while back) that I hadn't gotten around to do yet, #mybad. 1. What makes you smile? Seeing Hamburg's port as i'm riding on the train, it is an amazing view, imo. 2. What is a secret talent you have? I can burp the alphabet... just kidding, I don't know. 3. What is your biggest challenge when it comes to blogging? Finding the right content, a...

The Circle Link up - Summer Staples

Image
A little background: did you know that  burn victim s aren't supposed to be out in the sun until their skin is completely healed (which takes up to two years)? Well its true, I didn't know this, and had to find out the hard way, and for now we have to take extra care of the skin, so apart from compression garments we need sunscreen and UV clothes, Some of our summer staples will cover that and the rest are things that shouldn't be missing in our bags this summer. summer staples by Diana L. featuring Influenster's #NurtureVoxBox But anyways, some of the items that we need this summer are: **  Hada Labo Tokyo Ultimate Anti-Aging Facial Mask . ** Blue Lizard Australian Sunscreen (Sensitive) -  We need this especially since it is summer and the sun is out almost daily, which is not good for Avi because she loves spending time outside and this will definitely help protect her skin. ** ATTITUDES Shampoo - I'm excit...

The Circle Link Up - May 2015

Image
I signed up to participate Kiki's the Circle link up late March and last month was the first time I participated (I posted my reverse bucket list ). This month the theme is Spring15 Mood Board, but it doesn't necessarily have to be about spring, basically any mood board with 15 items (or at least, that's what I did) is okay. At first I had no clue of what I would add to mine, but after looking around through Pinterest , I figured I'd do some inspiration for decorating our new place. Keep in mind this is the first mood board I ever do. I had no clue of where to start, many people mentioned using picmonkey, but I didn't have time to download pictures and them added them back so I used olioboard instead. Like I mentioned above, I chose decorating our new place as my theme, you might think what's in it is super random, and it probably is, but it has something that belongs in most rooms. If you want more inspiration for making a mood board, you can vi...

R is for Reverse (Bucket List).

Image
Back to Back bucket lists! if you don't know what i'm talking about, check out yesterday's post . Also, I had a list of around 15-20 things on my reverse bucket list but I deleted it thanks to me not knowing my way around the German keyboard. #Fail. But it's okay. I remember some of what I had put on there and it gives me a chance to rethink of everything I've accomplished so far..  Today I will be linking up (for the first time) with kiki's The circle link up which is themed "Reverse Bucket List" perfect for the letter R . If you don't know what it is, a reverse bucket list is a bucket list of things you have already done. Here's mine: Went Sky Diving.   Attended a midnight premier. More than one, I went to a couple of the Harry Potter ones. Went to Disney  World   in '99  Went to Disney land    '08 Went snowboarding. Became a Mom. Went on a road trip from Monterrey, MX to Charlotte, NC (with a ...
