#JadoreDessange VoxBox Review

Image
As you may now, in December I decided to go blonde (and short). It took me a long time to finally agree to do this, I decided I would grow out my hair last June, and I did, I was able to cut off 25 cm   (10 inches)  and donate them (in two braids since I have a lot). Soon after I cut and dyed it I started looking for the best color preserving shampoo,   I had previously seen Helene's  Blonde Hair without the Salon  post and bought the i tems she recommended from the John Frieda sheer blonde collection, and was really liking them. -  Sheer Blonde Everlasting Blonde  Color  Preserving Shampoo - Go Blonder Lightening Conditioner - Go Blonder Controlled Lightening Spray I had been using them since December to keep my blonde-ness going, but recently Influenster recommended I try the  Dessange Paris California Blonde collection by sending me the J'adore Dessange Voxbox filled wit...

Two Months in Ktown.

Image
A whole month has passed and we have nothing but a TV to show for it... haha well, i'm not complaining, it's spring time! We took another trip to Mannheim to pick up the Compression Garments, here's a video of the ride from Mannheim to Kaiserslautern. Last Sunday was Verkaufsoffener Sonntag, we took advantage and bought Avi her Easter dress, which she chose, and it kind of matches the second pair of compression garments (the birds are actually blue, the pants are mint green). You can see the one she wore last year here . It was a bit different from the ones we had been to in Hamburg, The streets were filled with market stalls, and they had ,many activities for kids, including a a train.  Two month's in and still no school for Avi,  I dislike the fact that they don't offer an actual vorschule (PreSchool) here. possible good news: I had a meeting with a lady an a kindergarten yesterday, to sign up and she told me that she has three lad...

A to Z Theme Reveal

Image
As I mentioned last week, I have signed up to participate in the blog everyday from A to Z in April Challenge .  It took me a while to decide whether I would or wouldn't participate... before I decided to join in I brainstormed ideas for each letter of the alphabet. I had almost all of them so I decided to do so. But then I changed my mind and re did my list, this time with a theme in consideration. I still have a couple of letters to fill, but I'm ready! My A to Z theme for this year's A to Z challenge is: Living abroad / Living in Germany.  I've decided to blog about being an Expat, Life abroad.. but will begin with information About me. Some of the topics will be Banks, Groceries, Knowledge, and a lot of randomness. Let's just hope I can complete the challenge without any accidents (like it happened in October ). I hope you enjoying following along. Check out the complete A to Z Theme and links to the posts. What's your theme?...

Tuna Cake Recipe. #EasyDinners

Image
Today I will be sharing one of my easy dinners.  My friend passed me this recipe one day when I didn't know what to cook, I tried it and we were automatically hooked. The ingredients she mentioned were: 1 can of mushroom soup. 1 Bag of yellow lays, and a couple cans of Tuna. After doing this a couple of times and trying it with different things, I found out that what works best for us is if we add cheese. After all, everything tastes better with cheese, neh? So anyways, onto the Steps, you may notice that I didn't picture a can of mushroom soup, or actual lays, that is because this is what I can find in Germany. drain the Tuna, and grind the potato chips, you can make them very tiny or just little pieces (I prefer a mixture of both sizes) and mix the two in a baking dish, then add the cheese.  incorporate the mushroom soup and bake for 20 minutes at 180c. Let me know if you like it. P.S. for the three of us I usually use...

Meal Plan for the week!

Image
I didn't post last week's meal plan because I was feeling a little unmotivated, Pablo was home from work thanks to a flu-type illness, and Avi was also a little sick, she woke up Thursday morning with a fever and I had to go to the nearest Pharmacy and buy 'Kinder' Ibuprufen, because the doctor we had seen on Sunday only gave us nose drops, antibiotics but no tylenol.  This week is a whole new week, Pablo is back at work and I can use his computer while he is there, I am glad to be back on here posting 'freely'. Here's our mea' plan: Monday: L -  Hot Dogs D - Hamburgers w/fries What can I say, I like simple food, even if making the hamburgers is a little time consuming! Tuesday: L - Lasagna D - Tacos Wednesday L - If I can find sun dried tomatoes I will make a version of this recipe D - Homemade Pizza Thursday L - Leftovers D - Chilaquiles Friday L - Tuna Cake D - I'm ...

Let's catch up.

These past few days have been good, I finally feel a little more at home here.  I haven't been able to blog for a while since Pablo has been home from work and I am unable to use his computer to upload pictures and everything. but I will get back to it soon enough, Thanks to him being home, we've been able to really speed things up with finishing Breaking Bad on Netflix, we're on season four already! I need to post one more furniture piece for my #FurnitureFriday reviews, it was supposed to go up last Friday but I was just not in the mood to write, same goes for this past Monday, when I should have uploaded the weeks meal plan.  Via and last I have an upcoming review for a voxbox I received.  yeah I know, i'd rather keep things short and sweet, what have you been up to? Meal Plan Monday

I've decided to hop on the wagon again and post what i'll be cooking weekly on the blog. Maybe this will help me once again and i can get more creative in the kitchen. It is different now, since Pablo eats at work and Avi is not in Kita yet, I cook lunch for two and dinner for three.  Which leaves us with left overs which we eat every other day. I still plan out complete meals in case we don't have anything left over for the next meal. Here's my Menu Plan for this week: 3/1-3/7 Lunch Dinner Sunday Chicken Strips Homemade Pizza  Monday Hot dogs and left overs  Picadillo Tacos Tuesday Left overs Gyros Wednesday Pizza Chicken with Veggies Thursday Hamburgers Buffalo Chicken Friday Baked Ziti Tacos Saturday Pasta Homemade pizza This week will be dedicated to organize what I can around the house and walk around the whole city stopping in each kindergarten asking to put Avi on the waiting list, wish me luck!       Twe...
