Our fourth (and last) month here was a packed one (see what I did there) and well I have to say that I really did enjoy our time here, I'm sad I didn't get to meet anybody from this area, but we have some great memories, thanks to Kaiserslautern central location.  We got a lot done during our last month here, here's what it entailed: One  day spent at Gartenschau. That's right, I had posted so many teaser pictures of this place since it's practically outside our door. We took advantage and finally went inside. It was very fun, a part from the many blooming flowers we go to see, there was a Lego exhibition and a medieval festival going on. Nine days in Hamburg I left Kaiserslautern May 5th to begin apartment hunting and we came back to start packing nine days later.  Six apartment viewings. So, I didn't succeed in this challenge but it's okay, I'm skipping the V and going back to U.. If I weren't doing the A to Z in April challenge, today I would've posted my three months update. so that is exactly what I am going to do.  One- ...afternoon was spent exploring the city we will be leaving in one month (that might conclude my by the numbers series, but that's a story for another time, or next month ;) ). Nineteen- ...ways the Kaiserbrunnen (Emperor Fountain in Kaiserslautern) can be seen as a three dimensional history and story book, which I will explain in detail later, but for now, take a look at some of the pretty interesting things it has to offer: Two- ...day trips, one to Mannheim and one to Strasbourg, France. They were both very pretty but it was raining when we went to Strasbourg (like it did when we went to Heidelberg), why we choose to travel when it rains, I will never know. A whole month has passed and we have nothing but a TV to show for it... haha well, i'm not complaining, it's spring time! We took another trip to Mannheim to pick up the Compression Garments, here's a video of the ride from Mannheim to Kaiserslautern. Last Sunday was Verkaufsoffener Sonntag, we took advantage and bought Avi her Easter dress, which she chose, and it kind of matches the second pair of compression garments (the birds are actually blue, the pants are mint green). You can see the one she wore last year here . It was a bit different from the ones we had been to in Hamburg, The streets were filled with market stalls, and they had ,many activities for kids, including a a train.  Two month's in and still no school for Avi,  I dislike the fact that they don't offer an actual vorschule (PreSchool) here. possible good news: I had a meeting with a lady an a kindergarten yesterday, to sign up and she told me that she has three lad...

The 25th marked one month of living in this city and it's been weird trying to adapt. I saw this post on kiki 's blog and thought it was a great idea to help keep up with what we did during the month, here's what we've accomplished in our first month in Kaiserslautern. FIVE big suitcases filled with our stuff, some that we had left in Hamburg and some we brought back from Mexico. SIX days spent at the universities guest house before we got the key to our apartment. MANY trips to furniture stores. ONE hour spent ice skating. The ice skating rink at KL on ICE was smaller than I expected, but that was okay, It was only Avi and me, she was really excited about this but was sad she wasn't automatically able to skate/good. This was her second time ice skating but just as difficult as the first. NO kindergarten, yet. We still don't have a Kita, and it's even harder for us since Avi is 5, she should be in vorschule (preschool) already! I...
