Have you been following along on instagram? I post on my stories almost daily and it's so much fun for me!    List the top 5 cities you've visited and why. I've already done a post on this, 5 Places I'd like to revisit go check it out and tell me if we have any cities in common! What do you like doing in your spare time? I enjoy spending time on the computer and watching stuff on Netflix. when I have time I like challenging myself to do puzzles. What are you reading? I just finished reading Accidental Tourist and am currently reading The Girl on the Train. What is your favorite food to cook? My all time favorite recipe is Enchiladas Suizas , but sometimes I settle for Chilaquiles (as tortillas de Maíz/corn tortillas) aren't found...

Sisterhood of the world blogger.

Image
Today I'm linking up with travel Tuesday and answering Christine's questions for the  Sisterhood of the world traveler award  that she nominated me for... 1. What is the story behind your blog name? it was kind of a last minute decision, when I first created this blog I had it's name as "No Title Yet" (very clever I know) and the RSS feed name as "Gzz Longoria in Germany"  and kept it at that for a long time, but then I started sharing my posts and decided to change the blog name, keeping the same url, I figured Life in German was a good choice since I am living in Germany and trying to learn the language. 2. If you had to give up your current passport and get another country's passport, which country would you pick? I think I would trade my passport for a German one, if we stay here long enough, we might have the opportunity to do this one day. 3. Where was the best meal you have ever had? in Mexico, anything there is good. 4. Is there any...

You Probably Don't Know..

Image
Helene announced a one day link up and I thought it was a good idea, I'm going to say a couple of things that I haven't already (in my many personal posts ), with information you probably don't know... - You can find Dr. Pepper in Germany but it's more expensive than coke/pepsi so I only buy it when I'm craving "comfort food." - I talk in my sleep and sometimes if you ask me something I will respond to you as if I were awake. - I can't roll my tongue. For the life of me, and trust me I've tried plenty of times. - I love Chocolate. Always have and probably always will, even though I might not be eating it as often as I did when I was little. - My College plan was actually three years, but I did it took me an extra two trimesters because I decided to have a baby in the middle of it. - I had a burst appendix a day after my birthday in 2012 so I spent my first new years eve abroad in the hospital. Don't worry the nurse still offered m...

P is for Personal development.

Personal Development goes right along with the  Knowledge you gain living abroad . This could happen many different ways, for example, learning a new language, soaking in the culture. Either or living away from your country will help you grow all while having a really interesting and unforgettable experience. Living far from home, no matter how long, can be hard at the beginning. Even though changes are difficult it is necessary to go through them to build character. As a mom, living in another country has taught me to accept a different type of society and culture in my daily life. With all the different interactions I have daily, I have been able to develop myself in unknown conditions while living in a place with different customs and traditions from what I am used too. In all honesty, becoming independent and responsible helped me develop personally.  I was able to make new friends. accept different opinions and values and seize eve...

A is for About [me].

Image
Welcome!  I signed up for the blogging from A to Z in April Challenge,  thought there;s no better "A" than an introductory post,  Hi, I'm Diana, and this is my family: I have 3 siblings, an older brother and two younger sisters ...and 4 half siblings.  2 out of 4 are shown here. I was class of 2007, but graduated '06. My favorite activities were swimming, playing tennis and playing the violin. I love Harry Potter, the best gifts ever were [1] when we went to Universal Studios Orlando for Pablo's graduation present in 2011. [2] When I received the movie set last year for Mother's day. [3] Going to the UK last June and visiting Alnwick Castle  (go check it out, we got to "fly" on brooms!).  On my Harry Potter list are two items: 1. visit Warner Bros. Studio Tour London. 2. re-visit Universal Studios Orlando, since we can't find the pictures from when we went. We've been living in Germany since ...

7 shows to watch on Netflix NOW!

Image
Today's prompt is about secrets. We're supposed to share something about ourselves, and basically the only thing I can think of is something I shared with you yesterday and something I had mentioned was a Unkown fact about me in my ABC's of Me . Nothing to juicy (as you might be expecting people to spill) but I am a Netflix binge watcher, and today I am going to share some of my favorite shows that I have seen on here over the past two years. How I Met Your Mother   I think it is a given that everyone likes this show, even if the ninth season was not at all what we were expecting, they could've focused more on life with the mom, than the meeting her part (hehe). Numb3rs   An FBI agents' brother helps solve cases using his vast knowledge in math. This show is cool, and i'm not just saying it because I like shows about solving crime differently, like Monk. The Mentalist   Patrick Jane and his tea! He made me want to get my own teacup ...

I am an expert at:

Day 17. This is a fun one, especially since nobody can be an expert at one thing, There's always good and bad things you can be an expert at, Here are some of mine: Procrastination.-- I am a bit of a procrastinator. A good example is when it comes to dinner time, I don't always do this, but at times I stay a little while longer than I should on the computer before I actually begin making it. #donthate for this same reason I schedule it early. via Which leads me to another thing I'm an expert at, spending time on the computer , which can be good for the blog...and connecting with friends and family back home. Being hooked on Netflix.  Netflix is my background noise, I'm usually always watching something. This week I caught up with Arrow, and by this week I mean I watched 12 episodes in three days. via Last but not least, in a way, I am also an expert at travelling with a child we have been traveling with her since she was a newborn, it all ...
