Fischmarkt

The Altona Fischmarkt is probably the most iconic landmark in Hamburg. It is definitely one of the top ten things to do in Hamburg (in my opinion). Whether you're here because you are just wrapping up your night-out, because you are a curious tourist, or because you are a bargain hunter, you will blend right in with the crowd! You can find locals and tourists here every Sunday from 5 to 9.30 am.
You will find everything from fresh fish (at very cheap rates), baskets filled with fruit, yummy sweets in huge bags, to bands performing hit songs to sing and dance along to.
Make sure to at least eat a Fischbrötchen (a bun with fish and some salad).
The Fischmarkt area in Hamburg is definitely worth a visit, especially if your method of transportation is taking a ferry!
Address:  Große Elbstraße 9, 27767 Hamburg
Opening times: Every Sunday, Apr to Oct 5 am – 9:30 am and  Nov to Mar, 7 am – 9:30 am.
Public transport: S1 and S3, Station 'Reeperbahn' // U3, Station 'Landungsbrücken' // Bus line 112, Stop 'Fischmarkt'.
